Bull Burger Battle Baton Rouge Recap
Southern hospitality at its finest! The first Bull Burger Battle of the summer took place on May 16th in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at Goodwood Hardware. Fifteen of Louisiana’s best burger cooks fought for their chance to become a member of Team Bull, but only one cook could take home the coveted Golden Ticket.
Team 3Gen’s southern charm was the secret ingredient for a win at this Burger Battle — Lance Dodson and his team wowed the judges with their “Southern Steak Burger,” which featured sirloin, ribeye steak, bacon, smoked gouda, and a smoked chipotle aioli, to name just a few ingredients.
Goodwood Hardware set quite the standard for the remaining Bull Burger Battles. The store not only hosted the competition, but also offered both pizza and burger cooking classes for the public.
While the competitors fired up their grills, people were able to learn more about grilling a burger or making pizza using a Bull Pizza Oven. Many people also enjoyed visiting the store, playing corn hole and simply watching the first Bull Burger Battle of the summer unfold!
When it was time for the awards ceremony, the crowd gathered to see Team 3Gen grasp the Golden Ticket! Lance Dodson and his team went home with a sponsored trip to the World Food Championships and a new Bull Outdoor Steer Cart, which will be getting plenty of practice between now and November!
Congrats again to Team 3Gen! We’ll see you in Kissimmee, Fla. for the World Food Championships!
